The First Golden Age:

The age of technical advancement.

 4.500 years ago. Year 1, The Anarchic age:

Time of wars, resulting in the destruction of civilisation. The land of Vanhara is destroyed by the atom, the earth shattered, and the races of man revert back to the Stone Age and barbarism.

Strange Magical creatures come into being and dominate the land.

Man is reduced to a hunter gatherer lifestyle.

3.500 years ago. The time of the Elves, Giant’s and Dragon’s.

 2.000 years ago. The Superstitious Age.

The gods of light create the Chimera Stone, to bring peace and harmony to human, dragon and fairy and abominated kind. Under the stones magical influence, the many races are blessed with peace as well as supernatural powers.

 1.700 years ago: The Age of Chaos

The Chimera stone’s presence dominates all, it’s influence encouraging civilisation to evolve once more in a balanced way.

But Fornax the god of the underworld argues that you must balance light with dark, good with evil and the Firebrand stone is created as well as a dark champion to destroy the Chimera stone, and chaos and greed ensues once more.

Responsible for unleashing the weaponry that devastated the world, the gods of light resurrect Samuel and endow him with destroying the Firebrand stone and its protector, the first Dark Taal, to atone for his atrocities.

Samuel pursues the creature across Vanhara and they battle continuously, neither one gaining the upper hand. Tracking the creature to a cavern in a high mountain range, and placing their charges upon the cavern floor they struggle, and fall into a deep ravine.

After a time, the pair in order to survive become one, and following an underground stream, the pair now joined, emerge from the mountain and into Vanhara’s barren desert land. Now locked in an internal struggle, Samuel, during periods of coherency, his mind not entirely coherent, creates an oasis, and writes his thoughts and conclusions in a small blue bound, leather diary. 

 1.400 years ago: The leviathan wars. Fed up with uneasy truce with Dragon kind the giant’s, hearing of the magical stones, send out parties to locate them in order to use them against their oppressors. Outraged by this flaunting of the truce, the dragons decide once and for all to wipe Giant kind from the land. Eradicated from the high plains of their home in the north of Aymara, some do however, managed to reach Vanhara and continue their search for the stones.

 1.200 years ago:

Pellagrin and Chador are born into the world in the ruined land of Vanhara in the blasted ruins of the capital Latainia.

Under instruction from the giants, now revered as gods, Chador and Gavail Pellagrin, whilst searching for food, encounter The Samuel/dark creature in the oasis, and climbing to the remote cavern Chador finds the stones and Samuels’ magical greysword. Unwilling to give them back, Chador and Pellagrin after thinking they killed Samuel, intend to relocate their clan in the oasis but on returning find it gone.

Journeying northward the brothers, encounter aging giants. Quoting prophecy, the giants take possession of the stones.
